'Beginning of hope' is the meaning of our mission's name, Principio de Esperanza. We are an inter-denominational non profit organization dedicated to helping third world children and families by developing leadership here and abroad, believing leadership to be the applied ability to educate, motivate and empower individuals to enhance the quality of their lives physically, mentally and spiritually. Our present area of work is in the rural mountains of Honduras.
I, Melvin Airhart, have made 12 trips there in the last 3 years. Others have been there with me, and this blog is a venue for them to share their experiences.

Beginning of Hope
This is the beginning of our blog about Principio de Esperanza, 'Beginning of Hope'. We are an interdenominational nonprofit group helping third world children and families.
This blog is to be a venue for those who have been there with us and for those who want to go.
Our model has been to provide training and finances for local workers to build schools, houses, clinics and churches.
